We wanted to introduce ourselves and tell you more about our company; this is our story.

The Market Basket Family:

As a mother of two young boys it has become apparent to me how unaffordable so many items are for our children as well as the lack of options for boys! As such, my aim was to bring to the market unique, creative, fun, high quality, yet affordable products for families and ensure that there were some options for the boys too!

Market Basket really is a family affair – between Mum (Gayle), Dad (Tony) and our two Sonny boys we all work together as a team to help bring this dream to a reality. The boys are great product testers and always happy to give their feedback and can often be found pitching in at our market stalls around SA.

Market Basket

Market Basket is an Australian-owned company started by a family who were inspired to build a business that creates and promotes fun, practical, high quality, yet affordable products for families. Our aim is to promote products that are unique, creative and inspiring whilst taking into account that at the heart we wanted to create products that we would use ourselves, products that were typically overpriced or products that met a need that wasn’t satisfied at the moment.

Seeing that there was a disparity in the market place for boys products that was one of our initial focus points. We started with super hero inspired costumes which are not only great fun but imaginative play also forms an important part of a child’s growth and development and activates their imagination!

Market Basket will have key recurring lines as well as seasonal products – so be sure to keep an eye out to see what we currently have in stock!
